Dj Nešto [ne : shtoh] born Nenad Stojcic …
Nešto translates to something in Serbo-Croatian. It is a reference to his nickname and his desire to bring a little bit of something for everyone.
Having lived in a few different countries, Dj Nešto musical journey began many years in Germany where he experienced the realm of electronic music for the first time as a teenager. Later on in the States he acquired a special kind of attachment to the Detroit Techno scene. It was then that his Djing journey took off with the end of 2005 with inspirational sounds from the Detroit Minimal world. Dj Nešto, a 20-yr old back then, purchased his first set of 1210's and his first set of vinyl , including one of his favorites - Big Fun-Inner City / Juan Atkins. For the next six months, Dj Nešto spent the better half of his days and all of his nights locked in his room trading speakers and vinyl for his bed and pillow… after all practice makes perfect… And indeed it did!
Dj Nešto teamed up with a couple of local Dj's and began to bring the world of Afterhours to the small mid-west town in the hopes of resembling his teenage-years experience. But something was still missing; until he was invited to play in his beloved city of Detroit. At last, he began feeling home.
As of 2009 Dj Nešto resides back home… Berlin, Germany. The combination of Deep/Tech House and Minimal guarantee a unique style and technique into beats that give everyone nešto to look forward to in the hopes of bringing a little bit of Detroit to even the smallest parts of Europe.
